Dr. Sehijpal Singh is working as a Principal at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. He has done both graduation and post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering from GNDEC. He has been teaching since 1993 and completed his PhD from IIT Roorkee in 2002. He has published 100+ research papers and has two patents on his credit. He has also guided 16 Ph.D. candidates.

I was highly motivated to conduct and publish research work and constantly update myself to the new trends in the education field while I was doing my PhD. My motivation is from my family background as both of my parents were teachers and they have highly inspired me to join the education field. 

How would you describe your leadership style?

“I believe in the concept of team-work”

Leadership for any teacher is “Inspirational” so that the students get inspired from their teachers and try to follow the path with the guidance of teachers. The success of any institution is directly related to the quality of its faculty which has the power to transform the ‘thought process’ of students to make them ‘nation builders’ and good human beings.
