What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“A need to upgrade myself and constantly learn dynamic concepts”

I have been working in a number of educational institutes since 2002. The factors that keep me connected with the education sector are: -

  • Doing higher studies - If you are connected in the education sector then it becomes easy to improve yourself by increasing your knowledge by doing further higher studies. I had simultaneously done my M Tech and Ph.D. during my services.
  • Designing of curriculum for students - Nowadays there exists a gap between industry and educational institutes. I want to bridge this gap by providing industrial training to the students.
  • Peace of mind: - As compared to industries or any other field I think there is more peace of mind in the education sector.

How does the curriculum of GRIMT ensure the best practice of the industry?

“A curriculum that bridges the gap between industry and academia”

Interactive teaching-learning process, extension lectures from experts and industrial visits of students to various industries will help them excel. At GRIMT, we follow the curriculum given by Kurukshetra University. But we like to impart some extracurricular activities as well.

What do you think your responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“To keep track of academic, extracurricular and industry-oriented activities”

My role is to guide, monitor and control the activities in the College. I should always keep encouraging the students so that they can achieve their goals. I also keep monitoring the activities in the university so that things can be done smoothly and without any error.

What are some of the biggest challenges for higher education?

“Rate of admissions and amount of funding has reduced drastically”

The biggest challenges for higher education and GRIMT as well are:

  • Falling enrollments.
  • Declining State Funding.
  • Lower world rankings.
  • Worrying completion rates.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Self-dependency and critical thinking are essential for the youth”

My suggestions for the current youth is to first set goals for themselves. Make plans to achieve the set goals by moving forward in the right direction. They should make their own rules and must not follow the rules of society blindly.

What are some plans that you’re currently designing for GRIMT?

I would like to associate with international funding agencies to grow our institution further”

My current plan is to think about the world around me more smartly. The world needs people who are capable of approaching problems critically and solving them. I will learn how to auto-assess and critique my ideological baggage. I would like to prepare the students of GRIMT that could end up with a job that directly influences the government policy. I could work in policy for a think tank, a pressure group, a public policy consultancy, a political party, trade unions or a charity.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your institute?

“By providing quality education along with excellent facilities for the student’s benefit”

A positive institute environment is defined as a school having appropriate facilities, well-managed classrooms, available school-based health supports, and a fair disciplinary policy. There are many hallmarks of the academic, disciplinary, and physical environments of the institute with a positive climate. By maintaining these parameters, a healthy environment can be established.
