Dr. M. Jeyakumar is a principal at Christ the King Engineering College. He has done PhD from Anna University, Chennai. He has an experience of over 23 years in teaching. He has published a total of 09 journals including 7 at the international level and 1 each at the national and international conferences.

Being a Principal, what is your philosophy of leadership? 

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”

Depending upon the nature of work I used to split the work into small tasks so that everyone can contribute and gain a good amount of experience out of it. Freedom of work will be there always for the sake of finding alternate solutions. During the tough times I used to ensure myself involving and helping my subordinates. 

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“A good strategy always supports the primary goals of an organization” 

I always prefer to conduct programs that offer / support a good amount of knowledge / placement, for the reason that students are our brand ambassadors. This is how we built our own reputation on which we are strongly building our administration.

Being affiliated to Anna University we follow a world class curriculum suggested by them. To enrich this curriculum, we continuously research and take feedback from experts in particular fields of Industry / Institution. We are also constantly supporting both our staff members and students with a modern computer environment along with well equipped laboratories.

What are your roles and responsibilities to the college and the students?

“My role is to set a good leadership, direction and coordination to the college”

As the principal my role is to set a good leadership, direction and coordination to the college. My focus is always to maintain effective teaching and learning. My responsibilities are creating a positive college culture, creating a long-term plan for a student's academic success, cultivating leadership in every member of the college. Encouraging research oriented activities inside the campus.

What would you like people to know about your college that they may not know?

“We are too dedicated towards the development of technical experts” 

Our college not only produces engineers but also produces a complete engineer who cares for technology and the environment as well as providing a peaceful and calm environment for learning.
