Anna University offers Undergraduate courses in streams, such as Engineering, Technology and Architecture. The Undergraduate programmes in various disciplines are undertaken by various departments of the university. Admission to B. Tech/B.E programmes is done through TNEA while for B.Arch. course NATA is required.

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Tech/B.E:

  • 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Candidates from Tamil Nadu state who have completed last five years of their education from the state other than Tamil Nadu can also apply at the condition of submitting the Nativity Certificate

B.Arch:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 and have NATA score card.
  • Candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects
  • The minimum marks in NATA should be 80 out of 200 Marks

Admission Procedure:

B.Tech/B.E — Admission in B.E and B.Tech courses will be done on the basis of TNEA or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. More than 1.5 lakh engineering students enrolled into engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu through single window counselling of TNEA. Candidate will be selected according to marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics 12th Standard. Candidates can apply both in Online and Offline Mode

B.Arch. — To get admission B. Arch programmes, candidates need to appear in National Aptitude Test in Architecture. The test is conducted to measure the aptitude of candidates in the field architecture in areas like drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking. NATA is conducted every year in 2 phases. This year it will held on April 1,2015 to May 25,2015 ( Phase 1) and from June 1, 2015 to August 21, 2015 (Phase 2)
