Eligibility for JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling
Candidates who qualify JEE Advanced will be allowed to participate in JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling for admission to various UG courses offered by IITs. However, these candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to take part in the counseling and seat allotment process.
- Candidates should have obtained a rank in the Common Rank List in JEE Advanced.
- In the case of percentile, the candidate should be among the top 2.5 lakh students in JEE Main 2023.
- The aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Language (Language paper in which candidates have scored higher marks will be taken into consideration) will be used to calculate the aggregate in the qualifying examination. If any of these are not evaluated during the final year, (for eg. Three-year diploma courses) the marks of the previous year will be taken into consideration.
- Candidates who have failed in one or more than one subject in the qualifying exam should appear for the exam in 2023 and clear it in this attempt.
- In cases where the qualifying board offers only letter grades, the candidates are required to procure a letter from the board indicating the aggregate marks of the candidate. Otherwise, the decision in such matters will be taken by the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2023. The decision of the committee would be final and no request for any review would be considered.
- The marks of Class 12th would be considered only, in case, the board provides the marks for both Class 11th and 12th in the qualifying examination. If the board provides only the aggregate marks for qualifying examination, then the aggregate marks will be considered for evaluation.
Note: Candidates including foreign nationals will have to abide by the above-mentioned criteria
