PGPM, or Post Graduate Program in Management, is a management course particularly aimed for working professionals who want to boost their career with this high level master degree qualification.
Particularly provided by IIMs, these days it is also offered by many private colleges such as MDI Gurgaon, XLRI Jamshedpur, Great Lakes Chennai, etc.
The course curriculum is based on blended learning and gives equal weightage to projects, industry internships and live projects, apart from classroom learning and presentations.

PGPM Syllabus & Subjects
The syllabus & course curriculum is different for 1 year course and 2 year course. A PGPM course of 1 year duration is usually a professional certificate level course, but a 2 years PGPM course is almost equivalent to an MBA degree.
PGPM course of 2 years duration is divided into terms that have different subjects related to business management such as Business Laws, Financial Accounting, Marketing Management, Competition & Strategy, etc.
In the second year, students can choose elective subjects based on their interest. Although the elective subjects are different in different B-Schools in India, but in IIM Bangalore, IIM Trichy & other IIMs provides electives in fields such as General management, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, etc.

PGPM Admissions:
PGPM Entrance Exams Syllabus
Admissions to PGPM course is usually done through entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT, etc. The minimum PGPM eligibility to take admission is a minimum of 50% at graduation level along with a valid score of the entrance exam that is accepted in the elected college.
Most of the management entrance exams are MCQ based having sections such as Logical reasoning, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension and General Awareness.
The following are the common sections that are common in most of the PGPM entrance exams:

Quantitative Ability:
It includes questions from Number System, Sequence, Series and Progression, Arithmetic, Mensuration, Geometry, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Venn Diagram, etc.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension:
It includes questions from Unseen Passages, Analogies, Antonyms, Contextual usage, Fill in the blanks, Para Jumble, etc.

Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation:
It includes questions from Data Sufficiency, Pie Charts, Caselets, Tables, Combination of Graphs, Critical Reasoning, Seating Arrangement, Logical Deduction, Analogies, Binary logics, etc.

This section includes questions from GK syllabus, current affairs, Business & Economy, Who’s who, taxation & duties, Film Awards, Indian Constitution, etc.
