GMR Institute of Technology Admission B.Tech Admission
The institute offers full-time 4 years B.Tech program (Bachelor of Technology) in 8 different specializations namely- Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Power Engineering.
The basic eligibility for B.Tech program is class in science stream with not less than 50% marks. The selection is done on the basis of AP EAMCET followed by counselling which is conducted by the institute itself.
GMR Institute of Technology Admission M.Tech Admission
GMR Institute provides full-time 2 years M.Tech (Master of Technology) at postgraduate level. The college offers M.Tech program in 7 disciplines. To be eligible for admission to this program, applicants should have B.E./ B. Tech degree in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks.
Admission to M.Tech program is done on the basis of AP PGECET score. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in AP PGECET are required to participate in counselling process which is conducted by the college. Applicants having valid GATE score are exempted from appearing AP PGECET.

Hostel facilities at GMR were started in 1998. It has enabled separate housing for boys and girls. The present strength of hostel is 1000+.
Girls Hostel - It has two blocks "Vamsadhara" and "Nagavali" with a capacity to accommodate 444 students.
Boys Hostel - The boy’s hostel comprises of five blocks ‘Vindhya’, ‘Satpura’, ‘Aravali’, ‘Nilgiri’and Himalaya. The present capacity of Boys’ hostel is 1083.

- The greenery in college was simply superb, it will help the students for refreshment.
- Best Infrastructure with labs by providing desktops and projectors for teaching

- Placements were very poor in our college, with only around 20-30% of students being placed. Moreover, some of them were placed just for the sake of having their names on the list, and ended up receiving low package offers.
- Some fees will be reduced by the college that got a rank lower than a thousand in EAMCET.
- At our college, they do not show much interest in cultural activities such as fests and annual days. However, once a year, there is a well-celebrated event that provides a sense of satisfaction. The facilities are not too bad.
- When compared to morning and afternoon, the food they provide us at night is worse and more tasteless.
- The infrastructure, placements, and faculty provided for the fee you are paying are not good; its a complete waste of your money.
