CBIT Hyderabad Admission

B.Tech/BE admission is done based on marks obtained on TS-EAMCET. Admission to the ME/MTech is done based on marks obtained in PGECET or GATE. Admission to MCA & MBA is done based on marks obtained in TS-ICET. Candidates must apply for the entrance exams on their respective websites

The institute has a wide range of facilities for the benefit of the students

Library: The first library to receive the AICTE Project on Modernization and Networking of Library & Information Centre under the MODROBS, it houses more than 1,00,000 books & 5000 E-Journals.
Canteen: There are 2 canteens inside the college campus that serve healthy and hygienically prepared food to students
Sports: The college has made provisions for all types of sports. The campus contains 2 basketball courts, a football field, a cricket ground, and a large sports complex with a gym, badminton courts, and table tennis room
Computer Labs: There are 19 fully equipped computer labs on campus and Wi-Fi is available all over the campus from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Ans. Yes, it is a very good college with a great placement record. There are experienced faculty members and also a pleasant environment with excellent facilities.

Ques. Does CBIT Hyderabad have a hostel?

Ans. Accommodation is available for students in Junior and Senior blocks. The hostels include a reading room, canteen, computer, entertainment facilities as well as a visitor’s lounge.

Ques. How are the faculties at CBIT Hyderabad?

Ans. The institute has over 300 dedicated faculty members, highly trained in their respective fields. The student to professor ratio is 20:1.

Of the 300 members, 132 hold Doctorates, while 102 are pursuing their Doctoral Works. The 236 Technical Staff are experienced in guiding students in the practical aspects of the courses.

Ques. Can I take lateral entry admission at CBIT Hyderabad?

Ans. Yes, there are seats in the undergraduate programs that are reserved for lateral entry, i.e. admission directly into the 2nd year of B.E or B.Tech program. This admission is done on the basis of the ECET, which is an entrance exam for diploma and for B.Sc. (Mathematics) candidates. Details of the same can be found here.

Ques. Does CBIT Hyderabad provide any financial assistance?

Ans. Scholarships of 5,000 rupees per month are provided by the institute to students having rank between 1 to 400 in the PGECET exam. There are also scholarships for GATE qualified students by AICTE/MHRD.

There are few faculty members who are so enthusiastic and are ready to help out the students...
Life at college is very good with good experiences in college enjoying every day with friends in classes and there are many clubs, for example, chaitanya samskruti chaitanya geetha chaitanya photography.

Dislikes

Students from third year are eligible for campus placements but due to recession only few companies are willing to come for campus placements and hiring mostly final year students.
Most of the it companies not giving eligibility for core branches students

I have a choice of joining JNTUH or CBIT this year. I can also repeat to go for the NIT or BITS the next year. What should I do now?

A close friend of mine is currently pursuing an integrated program at JNTU and is not at all pleased with its standard of education. He stated a few points that clarified his stance further

Majority of the subjects are taught by lecturers and not the actual professors. They have no interest in teaching and teach only a handful of subjects and leave the rest to untrained and underqualified lecturers.
Introduction of new courses like IDP, IDDMP, IIDDMP is greatly affecting the quality of education. The high batch size affects the student-teacher ratio and the limited resources cannot be availed by everyone.
JNTU 5-year course placements are very poor. CBIT has better companies than JNTU that offer better packages and opportunities.
JNTU has a better location than CBIT which is in a remote location and has limited outside life.
JNTU has no transport facilities so this might be a major obstacle throughout your program.

In all, I would suggest you go for CBIT as it seems to be in a better position than JNTU both in terms of placements as well as quality of education.

Can a graduate from Muffakham Jah college, CBIT, JNTU and Osmania university compare these four universities briefly considering all the facts.

My brother studies Mechanical Engineering at Muffakham Jah College.

So, here is some information about MJ College-

MJ college lacks a hostel facility. But that’s not a big issue, as you can live in nearby areas like Ameerpet or SR nagar. These areas have plenty of private hostels and bachelor rooms, which are available at moderate prices.
There is no hostel on campus, so there’s no mess food availability at MJ.
The college has a decent placement record. Companies like Deloitte, Infosys and Wipro, among others, frequently make recruitments from the campus.
MJ is affiliated with Osmania University. CBIT is autonomous.
