My brother studies Mechanical Engineering at Muffakham Jah College.

So, here is some information about MJ College-

  1. MJ college lacks a hostel facility. But that’s not a big issue, as you can live in nearby areas like Ameerpet or SR nagar. These areas have plenty of private hostels and bachelor rooms, which are available at moderate prices.
  2. There is no hostel on campus, so there’s no mess food availability at MJ.
  3. The college has a decent placement record. Companies like Deloitte, Infosys and Wipro, among others, frequently make recruitments from the campus.
  4. MJ is affiliated with Osmania University. CBIT is autonomous.

I hope you select the best college according to your goals and dreams.

B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (2017)

After researching about this online, I got to know some facts. Let me share them as they might give you a clear idea about it.

  • Osmania and JNTU are universities offering postgraduate courses.
  • Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) is affiliated to Osmania University and CBIT is an autonomous college under Osmania University.
  • If we consider placements, all of them are very good providing students with appropriate job opportunities.
  • IT firms tend to visit more than core companies during placements.
  • A disadvantage of MJCET is that it does not provide a hostel.
  • JNTU, Osmania, and CBIT have proper hostel facilities.
Categories MJCET CBIT JNTU Osmania University
Course Fee INR 4.40 lakh INR 5.36 lakh INR 72,000 INR 72,000
Placement Percentage 73% 80% 75% 98%
Highest CTC 7 LPA 6.5 LPA 7-8 LPA 8 LPA
Average CTC 3.5 LPA 3.6 LPA 3.4 LPA 4.5 LPA
Recruiting Companies Amazon, Adobe, etc. TCS, HP, etc. TCS, Cognizant, etc. Wipro, Byju’s, etc.

In India, for graduation and further studies, students mostly prefer studying in a Government-funded college, as the fees are lesser than their private counterparts. Also top students secure better ranks and opt for them, making the student crowd very competitive. They also have better and more experienced faculty members.
