CMR College of Engineering and Technology (CMRCET) Admission 2024, Cutoff, Ranking, Notification

Candidates seeking admission to the full-time B.Tech offered by CMR College of Engineering and Technology course in any of the offered specializations should have passed the Intermediate Examination of the board of intermediate education with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as optional subjects. Students who have passed in any other equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Telangana are eligible for admissions.

Candidates applying for B.Tech course should have qualified in the TS-EAMCET examination,  conducted by the Government of Telangana. EAMCET consists of a 3-hour paper with 90 questions covering all relevant subject matter to the engineering field.

• There are a total of 160 questions.
• The paper consists of MCQs and the test is conducted online.
• Each correct answer is worth one mark.

Candidates seeking admission through management quota should either obtain a rank or must have scored a minimum percentage of 50% in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths subject in the intermediate examination of the Board of intermediate education conducted by Government of Telangana or any other equivalent examination.

• 70% of admissions are based on convenor quota and 30% of the total seats are considered under management quota.
• No reservation based or any other concession will be provided under management quota.

Candidates admissions to M.Tech program offered by CMRCET should possess a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in the concerned stream. Qualifications equivalent to B.Tech/B.E. degree such as AMIE/AMIETE are also eligible for admission to PG degree. Candidates should also possess a valid GATE score for admissions to the M.Tech program.

Admission of sponsored candidates is carried out on the basis of following conditions:

• The number of sponsored candidates should not be more than five in each department and two in each specialization.
• Sponsored seats are recognized as supernumerary.
• Candidates must be a permanent staff in sponsoring agency for at least 2 years after procuring the qualifying degree.
• The sponsoring agency should be established by the Government, a public-sector undertaking or a reputed private agency.

Candidates seeking admission to a two-year MBA program should have passed in a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. Candidates should have qualified in the Integrated Common Entrance Examination (ICET), organized by the Telangana State Council of Higher education. The candidates are admitted strictly according to the merit scored in the ICET.

The convenor allows for 70% intake of the students to the MCA program depending on the rank obtained by the students in ICET. The college management allows the admission of the remaining 30% of the students under NRI quota and management quota.
