The course curricula and academics are top-notch at UWaterloo. There are hundreds of courses to choose from in various subjects, along with different levels of the same course available at different difficulties in order to cater to all kinds of students. The flexibility in choosing different subjects allows students to pursue subjects in some level of depth that they never thought they could or would. For example, I never thought that I would study French and Economics, but I have taken up courses in both these fields this semester and the next, and am enjoying learning about them so far. There are options for students to pursue research at an undergraduate level like the Undergraduate Research Opportunity program, etc. As for industrial exposure, the co-op component of my program checks that box.
Roughly CAD 31,000 / semester * 8 = CAD 248,000, so around CAD 250,000 or Rs.1.45 Cr (as of March 2021) for my program (excluding scholarships).
I think the course is brilliant. Since this is Mathematics Hons, it makes us think logically. We take a few courses from other faculties as well which really helps us diversify and understand what we want to do. The work load is immense and completely different from schools.
I paid 50k CAD including the housing finances.
I am in the 4th semester currently and about 60% of the courses until now have been introduction to various workings of business and rest were more advanced 2nd year level courses of those fields such as business analytics, accounting, finance etc. The course offerings within the program are relevant and updated as per industry needs every now and then.
My secondary choices were business and finance programs at universities such as York, Ryerson but Waterloo's AFM outweighs all of them on the basis of practicality, reputation, reach and job opportunities. It's simply the best business related program after Toronto but it's also one of the hardest to be accepted into. Why would someone choose second tier B-programs from Ryerson when they have Waterloo offering them a spot in one of the most looked upon business programs in the country,
Courses are more focused on practical learning and provide a good foundation for the jobs ahead
It gives me a global networking opportunity and an innovative environment to work towards my ideas

Yes, it is very updated and gives the opportunity to participate in several engineering activities- coop, research, competition.
27000 CAD per study term.
The course syllabus is regularly updated each semester. We get our 4 terms of industrial exposure through this university.
Approximately CAD 175000
It's really well planned.
I paid $6000 for my first term and I'm living off-campus. I received a $5000 scholarship from the university. I have no experience from an international standpoint as I'm a domestic student but I'm sure there are.
