Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Electrical Engineering)
Field of Study:
₹19.8 L/Yr
Electrical engineering is the field that explores and develops new and innovative technologies through the research and manipulation of electrical phenomena. Examples of electrical engineering innovations include medical instruments and life support systems used in hospitals, personal communication devices, and video and audio systems; as well as solar panels used in space to provide power to a space station's life support systems, communication and guidance electronics, and navigational computers. From the design of turbines in dams that power our cities, to the nanoscale electronic devices that drive high-speed computers, electrical engineering reaches every corner of our lives.Calgary is known as the "engineering capital of Canada" and the Schulich internship is the largest of its kind in the country. Students have the option of making this a five year program by participating in a 12 - 16 month internship after the third year to make contacts, get experience, and offset the costs of education. International placements expand horizons even further.
