Liked the program and small community vibes. It was important to me that the school I chose have an healthy amount of funding to my program. Other schools I visited it wasn?t obvious that some neglected certain programs. I also loved Lauriers school spirit and was impressed with how highly everyone who went there talked about it.

Course Curriculum

9

The program requires a lot of qualitative work which I did not expect. Few quantitative course are expected of us. Often feels like I'm being assessed on memorizing and regurgitating little details. Otherwise, some courses can be very well structured and give a good hands on approach, helping me gain transferable skills.

Fees

You pay for tuition but are charged for services on campus such as student council, the business student council, an eco fee, a refuge fee, a meal plan if you choose to have one and so on. You can opt out of the insurance they automatically charge you for and are charged an additional fee if you take an online course.

Scholarship

No, my parents pay for my university and therefore I have not looked into financial aid. Scholarships are automatically given if you maintain a certain average.

Examination Structure

The exams are dispersed over a 4 week period. Scheduling is don't at the discretion of the departments. Sometimes you may have two exams on the same day and other times you can have a two-week break in between, it really depends. You're not expected to attend class during exams.

Faculty

9

They are very nice and helpful. I've sought help from many of my professors and they're always eager to assist me. Huge effort is made to ensure that content is taught so that students are engaged and interested.

Hostel

My residence was a bedroom that me and my roomate shared. We had a washroom that was shared among the girls on our floor. Each floor was the same of the same gender, i.e first floor was all girls but then second floor was all guys. Each foor had a lounge that we all shared and could hang out in. You were also able to rent a mini fridge if you wanted.
