- The elementary education program is the largest education program at NSU. Here, you’ll learn to create lessons that actively involve children and address a wide variety of learning styles.
- You'll also be encouraged to enhance your employability by earning endorsements in birth through preschool education, kindergarten education, middle level education, and coaching. NSU also offers minors in coaching, early childhood education, mathematics for elementary teachers, music for elementary teachers, science for elementary teachers, social science for elementary teachers, reading, and special education.
- At NSU, you’ll learn to use the latest instructional technologies. Students in NSU?s program receive an iPad, and learn to use these and other technology tools in elementary school. Through a partnership with the Aberdeen School District, several NSU elementary education classes are held at the new Mike Miller Elementary school - where all students have access to their own iPad and other recent educational technologies.
