Augustana University admissions are offered on a rolling basis for undergraduate, graduate as well as international students. During fall 2018, the total enrolment in the university was 2,080 with an undergraduate enrolment of 1,749 and a graduate enrolment of 331. The university accepted 65% of the applications during the same period. 2,201 candidates applied to the university out of which 457 students enrolled.

  • The first offer of admissions is granted by the university on 1st October.

Augustana University International Admissions

Augustana University is home to more than 150 international students coming from across the world. The university allows international admission on a rolling basis starting from October 1st to July 31st. International students who apply prior to 1st March will have an advantage in obtaining scholarships. University also accepts applications a year in advance of the term they are planning to enroll. The application process must be completed two months in advance.

Note*- Students having scores lower than mentioned will have to take ESL program (English as a second language) by the university to be considered for admissions.

Augustana university admissions are also granted on a conditional basis to academically qualified students. Full admission to these applicants may be granted after successful completion of ELS intensive English program level 112.

Visa requirements

  • I-20 form will be issued by the university
  • Copy of passport, photographs, declaration of finances, bank statement
  • Applicant must pay SEVIS I-901 fee and the DS-160 visa insurance fee to DHS prior to applying for a visa.

Admission requirements - Transcripts, letter of recommendation, statement of intent, resume, test scores, English proficiency proof, financial documents.

Augustana University Undergraduate Admissions

Augustana university admissions to undergraduate courses are granted in more than 100 categories of major, minor and pre-professional degrees. Undergraduate students must apply through common application along with all the required documents. There is no application fee charged by the university from undergraduate students.

Augustana University Graduate Admissions

The university offers 6 graduate courses to the students. The standard application fee charged by the university from applicants seeking graduate admissions is 60 USD. Admission requirements for each graduate course may vary. Minimum GPA requirement to enroll for the graduate program is 3.0. Lower GPA may be accepted for a few courses. Applicants are required to give an interview while applying for Master of Science in Athletic Training. Some courses may also require work experience.

Graduate students must make sure they file an application to the Office of Graduate Education.

Admission process is based on the candidate’s contribution to the community, school, and church, standardized test scores, course selection, grade point average, academic achievements.

Augustana University admissions are also granted on a conditional basis to academically qualified students. Full admission to these candidates may be granted after successful completion of ELS’s intensive English program till level 112.

The admission decision is also dependent on a student’s ability to truly impact the community of the university. University recommends applicants to complete the application process 2 months in advance.
