Petroleum engineers are also master problem solvers who tackle various challenges such as technology, economics, and politics. A career in petroleum engineering allows one to have new experiences each day, and, because of the worldwide operations of most petroleum companies, the opportunity to experience new places and cultures.
Here at Oklahoma University, MPGE is dedicated to preserving excellence and advancing the industry by preparing the next industry leaders through our programs. Students receive a firm foundation in math and science, humanities, engineering principles, and advanced course work in the three primary petroleum engineering specializations: Drilling Engineering, Production Engineering and Reservoir Engineering.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
