Versatility

Students will be trained thoroughly to compete in the varied professional world of theatre production. A mastery of the basic skills will be developed in the areas of audio, costume production, lighting, prop production, stage management, and design. Students will also gain theatre/facilities management experience through preparation and work in rehearsal halls, studios, shops, as well as backstage areas.

Professional Training

Students are guided through the process of self critique to successfully evaluate/interpret complex problems, and prescribe solutions and/or new directions to fulfill the vision of a director or designer. The program aspires to not only strengthen each student’s ability to collaborate in a production team setting, but to also graduate effective leaders who can articulately express oneself for professional employment or advanced graduate study.
