English Proficiency Requirements

International students both undergraduates as well as graduates have to exhibit their English language proficiency for getting admission at UWM. Any of the following scores can be used for proving proficiency:

US Visa Application Process for International Students

International students seeking admission to universities in the USA must apply for an F or J type visa. The applicant is required to have an I-20 "Certificate of Eligibility," issued by the admitting institution to submit a visa application. International applicants will be provided an I-20 form by University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee after successful admission.

A student is allowed to apply for a visa 120 days before the program commences. Therefore, students must apply for the visa as early as possible to allow sufficient time for processing. The following documents will be required while applying for a student visa in the US:
