Cytotechnologists examine human cells under the microscope, looking for early signs of cancer or other diseases. When abnormal cells are detected, the cytotechnologist works with a pathologist to arrive at a final diagnosis. The Cytotechnology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), www.caahep.org, located at 1361 Park St., Clearwater, FL 33756. Students successfully completing this program are eligible to sit for a national certification exam.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit copies of transcripts of all the previous education
- Submit the official transcripts of the application after admission
- Transcripts should be translated into English before submitting
- ACT and SAT score is not mandatory but can be included
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; minimum 548 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 120
- Pearson academic: minimum 56
