Mission Statement
The mission of the Theatre Arts Department is to prepare undergraduate students to be self-sufficient theatre artists with comprehensive skills in performance, technical theatre, directing and/or management, as well as an understanding of theatre history and literature.?
Students will equip themselves to be productive members of a larger theatre community that includes both professionals and non-professional theatre practitioners.
Theatre majors will:
- develop a working methodology for performance as an actor;
- demonstrate a practical ability in technical areas of stagecraft and/or design;
- respond critically to performances and works of dramatic literature;
- exhibit an understanding of the role and methods of the theatrical director;
- participate in the production of works for public presentation;
- organize, rehearse and present a production as a principal creative artist;
- see theatre as a means of speaking to a community and as a tool for social change; and
- prepare to assume their own development toward professional work as a theatre artist.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school or any other courses attended
- Submit personal statement of 250 words which should highlight about your personal life
- Submit a letter of recommendation from your counsellor, advisor etc showing your work ethic and character
- Submitting of SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; minimum 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- SAT: minimum score of 460 in evidence based reading and writing
- ACT: minimum 19 in the English section
- Duolingo: minimum score of 105
- PTE: minimum score of 53
