In addition to becoming accomplished artists in their own right, our art ed students also get hands-on experience teaching in local elementary and secondary schools and running our Young Artist's Workshop, which brings children from the community into the USC School of Visual Art and Design for Friday afternoon art classes.
The School of Visual Art and Design boasts an 85,000-square-foot facility designed specifically for the study and creation of the visual arts. Our faculty members possess national and international reputations and have dedicated their lives to art and its teaching. The School of Visual Art and Design is in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submit course by course evaluation of official transcripts with GPA
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 77 in ibt; 550 in PBT; 213 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 115
- PTE: minimum 53
