Applicants to any major within CCM will be encouraged to submit pre-screening materials by November 15.

The curriculum provides a foundation of fundamental courses in electrical technology at the lower level, and at the upper level emphasizes the areas of communications, instrumentation, analog and digital controls, microprocessors, microcontrollers, power systems and digital signal processing. Graduates in electrical engineering technology will be able to design and install all types of electrical instrumentation as well as computers and their networks. They will also be able to prepare presentations and write technical documents.

Incoming and transfer students seeking a degree to further careers in computer networks, microcontroller programming, industrial and robotics intelligence systems are encouraged to apply for a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering technology with computer track option.

Graduates in this field are among the most highly sought in industry, and starting salaries are among the highest for all college graduates. This strong demand should continue for the foreseeable future. Bachelor of science degree graduates are well prepared for entry-level professional industrial positions and are generally given design and project responsibility.

Graduates find employment as production engineer, process engineer, electrical design engineer, electronics support engineer and controls technician.
