This program has both options : part time or full time
The Master of Science in Applied Economics program is structured to be flexible. Full-time students can complete the degree in one calendar year and part-time students in two calendar years. Students can leverage their studies in economics by obtaining a complementary graduate certificate, for example in Finance, Marketing or Business Analytics.
Master of Science in Applied Economics students will:
- Acquire and apply advanced economic principles to essential problems in business and economics
- Manage and analyze data using software packages such as "R"
- Communicate clearly and cogently in written and oral form using modern technology
- Acquire advanced quantitative and econometric techniques and be able use them to design and conduct applied economic research that will inform managerial and policy decision-making

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academics:
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores are not required, unless the applicant:
- Did not graduate with a four-year bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering or engineering technology program from an institution located in the United States
- Did not achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- The University of Cincinnati’s school code for the GRE is 1833 Two letters of recommendation
English proficiency:
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
