Individuals from varied backgrounds and with diverse career plans enter our program. Our flexible program may lead to professional teacher certification but is also appropriate for non-education backgrounds.
The program in Educational Psychology, which leads to a Master of Science in Education degree, provides a solid foundation in the psychology of cognitive processes and human behavior as they affect individuals across the life span within a variety of learning and educational contexts.
Graduates leave our program with skills that allow them to critique any instructional situation and develop strategies, based on theory, that will help to create the optimal learning environment for the given learners. Students are challenged to become independent thinkers, to value their roles as professionals and to become contributing members of the larger community.

Official high-school or university transcript – Send us a scanned copy of your high school documents and we will let you know whether an additional evaluation is needed. You can bring the original documents to campus when you enroll.
TOEFL or IELTS scores. Minimum scores are 61 for the TOEFL (iBT version) and 5.5 for the IELTS. Students with lower scores may be eligible for the ESL Program beginning in the Fall, Spring or Summer term.
An essay or graded paper – Send a copy of an essay or graded paper that you wrote in English. The essay may include information describing who you are, your academic and extracurricular experiences and goals, and why you would like to come to Saint Rose.
International Students are not required to take the SAT. However, SAT scores may improve your scholarship offer.
