City College of New York Campus and Accommodation

The main campus of City College of New York has a total of 13 College buildings at present, with the New York State Structural Biology Center and the two state-of-the-art research buildings in its South Campus. Besides, the college also has a downtown campus. The office of the Department of Student Life and Leadership Development promote extracurricular and co-curricular programs such as student empowerment engagement development series.

City College campus has 16 varsity teams that compete in III-Division of NCAA. It has students representing more than 150 nationalities. There are over 135 clubs at CCNY. Some are biology club, CCNY pre-law club, beaver nation network sports marketing club, CCNY eSports club, CCNY green, CCNY knitting club, and more. Some student life activities on campus include fraternities and sororities. The city college of New York offers residential facilities in its "Towers". The towers offer premium housing for graduate, undergraduate and professional students. It is an apartment-style residence on campus. Rooms of 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom, 3 Bedroom, and 4-Bedroom type are available for housing. Towers encompass 164 fully furnished, air-conditioned suites in four configurations that houses 1-4 students. Application portal: Applicants can apply online to the college application portal

Application fees: 65 - 125 USD (non-refundable).

  • The Office of Admissions deals with the admission process and student enrollment services.
  • International students need to register themselves as full-time students and should complete a minimum of 12 credits(Undergraduate), 9 credits (Graduate) and 7 credits (PhD).
  • CCNY also accepts early applications.
  • Applications to the School of Education and the School of Architecture are processed in a separate admissions office.

  • Freshmen Admission:
    • Freshman admission provided based on academic preparation (a minimum of 16 academic units ), overall high school average, grades in individual subjects, and SAT or ACT scores.
    • General Equivalency Diploma (GED) score of at least 3250 or higher for UG.
  • Graduate Admission:
    • Students need to submit GRE test scores, college transcripts, two LORs, interview/portfolio as required by programs, personal statement and application fee of 75 USD.
  • International students with no formal education in English need to submit either the scores of IELTS or TOEFL as a proof of English proficiency.

English Proficiency Test Score: Every applicant must submit the SAT or ACT score. International students are to submit additional documents of either IELTS or TOEFL.

City College of New York Scholarships

The City College Financial Aid Office coordinates with the administration of federal and state funds to pursue higher education at the university. The college only has a limited number of grants, work-study opportunities, loans, governmental benefits and scholarships for international students in USA. Most of the awards are "need-based", and require a student to maintain "good academic standing".
