We believe that educators must not only be proficient in content knowledge and pedagogy; they also must be able to understand the complex social and emotional context of their learners. So, we focus on that in our program with a year-long residency in an elementary classroom, as well as courses that prepare educators to create learning environments that support the positive social and emotional development of children in their transition to adolescence.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit one official transcript from each college or university attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by any member of the NACES
- Submit essay about significant life experiences that have contributed for development of interest in this field
- Submit updated resume that should include college activities, leadership experiences, work history, community involvement etc
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Applicants are recommended to complete an interview
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; 213 in CBT; 80-90 in IBT
- IELTS: minimum 7.0
- PTE: minimum 53
- MELAB: minimum 77
