With a curriculum grounded in the liberal arts, natural sciences, and nursing courses focusing on leadership, research and evidence-based practice, critical thinking, nursing theory and communication, students are well-prepared to enter the field of nursing. Pre-licensure nursing students must also meet all requirements of the Hood College Core Curriculum.
Required:
Prior to beginning the nursing courses, students must complete 24 credits of core courses or courses required for the nursing major. A grade point average of 2.75 and a grade of C or higher in all required?classes must be maintained.?BIOL 104, Anatomy and Physiology for Nurses I,?BIOL 204,?Anatomy and Physiology for Nurses II, and?CHEM 100, The Chemical World or?CHEM 101, General Chemistry I must be completed prior to beginning the nursing courses.
