Which is better for B.Tech. CSE: Presidency University, Bangalore or CMR University, Bangalore or Christ University Faculty of Engineering, Bangalore?
Khaled AhmedB.Tech from Presidency University, Bengaluru (2021)One of my friends studying at CMR said it is better to opt for CMR University or Christ University, rather than Presidency University. Mainly due to the excessive strict rules of the latter. Being a student of the Presidency, let me share why it is not apt for you.
- At the Presidency, there are a lot of rules that students need to strictly follow.
- There are no holidays for preparation before exams. The institute believes in classroom study only.
- Out of an entire batch of over 5000 students, hardly 50-60 students get the chance to participate in sports events.
- Fee submission is hectic. Only 2 or 3 counters are available.
- Attendance should also be maintained.
- They have a strong and cooperative faculty.

Presidency University Bangalore Courses and Fees
Presidency University Bangalore offers admissions in courses like B.Tech, BA.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, and B.Com.LL.B. For admission in B.Tech, the candidate must have passed the 12th class with 50% minimum marks and 45% for reserved categories. Along with this, a valid scorecard of JEE Main/ COMDEK/KCET is compulsory. For BA.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, and B.Com.LL.B, the candidate should have completed 12th with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category), and a valid score card of CLAT/LSAT is required.
For admission to MBA, the candidate must be graduated in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Also, a valid scorecard in CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT/CMAT/Karnataka- PGCET. After rounds of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI) candidate gets admission to Presidency University.
