In order to be eligible for BA LLB admission at Calcutta University, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks in the best four subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE) and at least 40% marks in best four subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE) for SC/ST/Person With Disability (Disability 40% or more) from the Board recognized by the University of Calcutta.
Candidates appearing for Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination can also apply.

Admission to BA LL.B is conducted through an entrance exam conducted by the university. The final selection will be done through the counseling process conducted by the university based on scores obtained in the entrance examination.

Register yourself for the BA LL.B course by filling in the required details like Name, Date of Birth, Email, Category, Whether Wards of Police, Details of the Police personnel/Ex-Police Personnel, etc.

An application fee of INR 500 for the General category and INR 250 for SC/ST/PWD should be paid.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to become a lawyer and specialise in the field of finance. The teacher-student ratio is pretty bad as there are 250 students in one batch and barely 10-15 teachers. The teaching faculty is pretty qualified as many of them are PhD holders but sadly not many of them are good teachers. The method of teaching is very old and, moreover very theoretical which makes it difficult for the students to be ready for the current job market. Exams are held twice a year, semester and they are pretty easy to pass. Questions generally are repeated every year.
