SPPU M.Sc Program Structure

Course Credits: Each master’s degree in science will be completed by 64 credits and average of 25 credits are required for each semester. Additionally, practical courses consume 25% of the total credits, and laboratory courses constitute 40% of the total credits.
Course Structure: Theory courses will be core compulsory credits (C) as well as optional/ elective credits (E). Each theory for M.Sc. courses will include tutorials, lectures, seminars and will be covered in 4 periods. Each practical for M.Sc. courses will be of 6 hours/week.
Examinations and Assessments: Assessments consist of Continuous Assessment (CA) and End Semester Examinations with an equal weightage of 50%. For the theory course, the question paper should include a 20% weightage for problem-solving.

Ans. Admissions in SPPU M.Sc is through the common online entrance exam (OEE). It is an online MCQ-based exam and the exam duration is 2 hours. The total marks of OEE are 100 which contains 2 sections:

Section A: General Knowledge/ Aptitude/ Comprehension/ Logic - 80 Marks
Section B: Subject Specific Questions - 20 Marks

For every wrong answer, 1/3rd of the total marks allotted will be deducted.
