I want to get into research and explore myself so that's why I chose Chemical Engineering at NIT Bhopal as this college lies in the heart of the city. Student to faculty ratio is quite good as there are 78 students in our branch so teachers can focus on every student. Most faculties have done MTech and Ph.D. from top IITs but their teaching styles are traditional, just write on board on go. But they will support you a lot in side hustles like if you want to start a startup or do research.

Term exams usually occurs three times each semester. Mini mid and end term examination. Mini is quite easy. Mid is a little bit easy side. But end term examination is sometimes very difficult. If if you are decent in studies you can easily score 8.0+ cgpa.

I chose chemicals because the college has a great reputation and placement in core branches like chemicals also, in orientation chemical engineering they told us how it is a very good and growing field for the future. I am not aware of the exact Student-faculty ratio but it is quite good compared to other state and local colleges almost all facilities that I meet are Ph.D. holders and have great teaching skills There are 3 main exams in a semester mini, mid-term, and final it's easy to pass in all of them because teachers are adjustable except some.

The faculty-to-student ratio is good there are around 300 faculty in this MANIT for all four years of students. All faculties are well-educated and have a minimum of 1 Ph.D. degree. Term exams are around 2 months timely and it is not that difficult to pass the exam and gain good marks.

The Faculty to student ratio is also good here and the faculty are really friendly and they teach really well. The faculties are highly qualified here and The quality of education is really good here you can ask doubt to professors any time. The exams are here at a good level. If you study seriously daily you can get a good cgpa.

I chose the B.tech course because I want to become a good chemical engineer. The ratio of faculty and student ratio is fine. number of students is 80. For that, number of faculties is fine. Qualification of faculty is good. the way of teaching of teachers is also very good. There are three exams in one semester. mini, mid, end term. we have exams in a 1 - 1.5 month gap. exams have a little bit of difficulty. because there are many concepts in depth. but I can do hard work every day. so that I can pass the exam easily.

My sister is pursuing her Chemical Engineer at MANIT Bhopal. Here’s her input about the branch.
- Compared to other branches, ChemE is new and is not as developed. There a lot of scope for improvement. The work process and management mainly need attention.
- They don’t have permanent and good professors of main subjects and most of the classes are taken by the temporary staff. But, they are working continuously to make the environment students friendly.
- The newly made mass transfer lab in the new premises is good. Otherwise, the old labs hardly have a machine in working condition.
- There is nothing sort of academic pressure there and it’s not very difficult to score good marks.
- The average salary offered here is 7.57 LPA
Don’t expect much from the institute in terms of academics. You have to make the best out of what is offered.
Which will be a better option, IIIT Naya Raipur CSE or NIT Bhopal chemical, in terms of placement?
IIIT Naya Raipur CSE is a better option, in terms of placements. According to the recent placement highlights, the highest and average CTC for the branch is INR 10.5 LPA and INR 43 LPA, respectively. The placement rate for CSE is around 100%. Microsoft, Deloitte, Adobe, American Express, Ericsson, Capgemini, etc. visit IIIT Naya Raipur placements.
Where is the best for chemical engineering, NIT Jaipur, NIT Bhopal, or NIT Calicut?
All the mentioned NITs are among the top engineering institutes in the country. Out of all the NITs in India, the best choice is NIT Rourkela. As some of my friends studied there I might be able to give you some reasons. These are:
- NIT Rourkela is famous for its Chemical Branch.
- The research culture of the institute is outstanding.
- The institute has been ranked 16th in the NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020. It is way above all the three institutes mentioned.
- The JEE Main cut-offs are high. So, only the best students get a chance for admission.
- The college also encourages diversity.

Overall, NIT Rourkela is an excellent choice. After CSE and EC branches, the Chemical branch recorded the highest placements. The return on investment of college is decent. But you should opt for it only if you can deal with and function under strict regulations and laws.
Should I join MANIT (NIT Bhopal) Chemical Engineering while I get CSE at IIIT Sri city? I've no particular inclination towards any branch.
Why do you want to opt for engineering? Is it because you enjoy Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics? If that’s the reason, then there are two possibilities for you.
Joining IIIT Sri City for CSE-
- You can sharpen your coding skills and work better on Computer Science learning more about ethical hacking, cybersecurity, etc. This is how CSE would prove to be fruitful to you.
- But if we perceive the other side of the situation, if you do not hold any interest here, you might find it hard to cope with and eventually lose interest. Since IIIT Sri City is a new college, it will not be able to impart the essential communication/soft skills to you.
Joining Chemical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal-
- Apart from developing a great interest in Chemical Engineering, you have the opportunities to either go for higher education via GRE or ensure placement via GATE.
- But again, comparing the other side of the situation, if Chemical Engineering does not spark your interest, you can go for other domains like Management. MANIT offers all the adequate communication/soft skills that would be essential for that.
If you have no particular inclination, then choosing CSE may be better. As it has two domains, i.e. coding and non-coding. Plus, the internet is full of great ebooks and tutorials to teach you.
