Remarks :
Eligibility is 12th pass out with an aggregate of at least 75% and a good score in JEE Main. JEE Main occurs twice a year in January and March. Reservation is there, you can check the previous year's cutoff category wise in the josaa and csab websites.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I want to get into research and explore myself so that's why I chose Chemical Engineering at NIT Bhopal as this college lies in the heart of the city. Student to faculty ratio is quite good as there are 78 students in our branch so teachers can focus on every student. Most faculties have done MTech and Ph.D. from top IITs but their teaching styles are traditional, just write on board on go. But they will support you a lot in side hustles like if you want to start a startup or do research.
Internships Opportunities :
Major top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. provide PPO and internships to a handful of students. Core companies like Reliance, hpcl, and Vedanta also gives internship from 3rd year but most are not paid internship.
Placement Experience :
Placement is the best thing in this college. Being located in Central India every top company like Microsoft, Google, Flipkart, Amazon, adobe, etc., and top core companies like BPCL, Exxon Mobile, Vedanta, Maruti Suzuki, etc. hires every year. In 2022, 18 students from cse got 85 lpa from Microsoft and 13 students bagged 60 lpa from Google which competes with many 2nd gen IITs. If someone is interested in the core, that is also welcome here, as PSUs hire 8-10 students every year with a core package of 19-20 lpa. And the overall percentage of placed students is about 90% with an average of 14 lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees for a student who is not SC/ST and annual salary above 5 lpa, then overall fees in a year including would be about 1,04,000 and mess charges another 25k for 1 year. But for SC/ST or below 1 lpa salary students don't have to pay Institute fees, but only hostel and mess fees which is 23k per sem for hostel and 25k per year for mess.
Campus Life :
In our college, there are a lot of fests going on like techno search, maffic, e summit, etc. But this only happens in odd sems, in even sems you will get bored as you will be only going to classes and hostels but yes the local area is also good you can hang out there. There are sufficient books in the library which will only help you with exams and not extra things like research or something. The library is the place which this college lags, as its infra is very old. The library doesn't look like it's in the Institute of National Importance. And if we talk about sports, 1st year is not allowed in the sports Complex if you are not a national level or state level champion as seniors are only allowed to play. But from 2nd year you can play. And trust me sports Complex is the best thing in this college. You will get various societies like roobaroo, a se ainak, a robotics club, vision, thinking, and many more.
