Some of my cousins graduated from LNCT Bhopal and here are some things about LNCT you need to know before getting an admission here.
Categories | LNCT Bhopal |
Course Fee | 4.70 lakh |
Highest CTC | 14 LPA |
Average CTC | 8 LPA |
Lowest CTC | 3 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys, Reliance, etc. |
Within the campus, there are 2 more colleges, those are LNCTE (Excellence) and LNCTS (Technology and Science), and these 3 are affiliated with RGPV currently. There are also separate buildings for pharmacy, MBA, and MCA. Therefore, I can assure you that LNCT Bhopal is the best among all.
No, LNCT Bhopal does not come under the best 100 colleges of India. In the 2020 ranking of NIRF, it was ranked 251-300. However, in 2021, it was ranked 50th for private engineering by India Today.
If you are looking for good placements, you can go for LNCT, since it has a good placement record. However, irrespective of the good placement record and the brand value it still has some issues that need to be addressed.
The faculty base is not that great. The faculty here focuses just on the theory part instead of imparting practical knowledge to the students.
Also, there is no environment for programming in the college and students have to pay extra and learn the programming languages for placements.
So before getting admission, do thorough research on the institute.
LNCT Bhopal provides customary books of the related subjects required for learning. You will be permitted to keep them for an entire semester and return back to the library at the end of the semester.
You will also have access to books related to your subjects as well as you are permitted to issue two additional books from the library through library cards.
The most important book which is required by everyone to clear their university exams is Shivani Publications. This book would be a prerequisite during the mid-semester period. You need not stress about buying these books during the beginning semesters.
Your common subjects in the first year that you would be studying are:
The most preferred CSE books are - E Balaguru Swami and Rajesh K Shukla.
CSE is the best branch in LNCT Bhopal in terms of placement. The top recruiters include Wipro, Mu Sigma, Aon Hewitt, Dell, IBM, Godrej, HP, Samsung, Oracle, and more. Unfortunately, there are no coding groups running in the college, and no such conversation is initiated among students.
Even teachers do not show any interest in creating technical communities or putting effort into activities. For any club to exist, seniors need to take the initiative and allow the juniors to follow. This is not the case at LNCT Bhopal and students lack interest.
Overall, there is no external learning in college apart from the core classroom lectures.
It doesn’t matter in which branch of engineering you are in, every branch has some theory sessions and practical sessions. It is important to take the help of technology to implement theoretical concepts practically.
You can definitely carry a laptop in the class but you might not be allowed to use it during lectures. You need to take prior permission from the faculty if you want to operate it for programming or learning a lesson. If anyone denies you to do so, you can directly contact the HOD. Other than that, you can use it during lunchtime for practice sessions.
LNCT has well-established labs for each branch and they are updated with the latest software. You can utilize the laboratories easily if you don’t have a laptop.
Yes, the institution does have an NGO which goes by the name” Rahat: Be the change-maker”. This NGO is operational under the supervision of LNCT Bhopal and the students that are enrolled in one of the courses offered by the institute.
We can make them happy by joining the NGO and by working to achieve the goals. You or anyone interested can join the NGO by contacting the class coordinator of your batch. We hope that more and more students and volunteers would become a part of this NGO for the betterment of these children.
You can check here to see what types of facilities LNCT Bhopal provides.
