Remarks :
I got admission through JEE Mains. My Rank was around 28K and I had multiple options but I chose Chemical Engg from MANIT because I was interested in Chemicals and was not getting any good college which is nearer to my hometown. The admission process was very smooth because all details were provided beforehand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I Choose this course because of less burden and some interest in the field. Faculty: The student is good here because of the small batch and the faculty is qualified to teach. Exams happen at regular intervals and are not very difficult if you study before 1 week properly
Internships Opportunities :
Many Companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung, etc. offer different roles like SDE, Associate, etc. Companies like Bajaj, and Exxon Mobil offer internships in the core sector. Most of the On-Campus are Paid but some are non-paid.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible to sit in placements from the 7th Semester and students are eligible to sit in On-Campus Internship from the 5th Sem. Last Year about 500+ companies visited the college and offered more than 650+ job offers. The average Package of College is 12-13 lakh per annum whereas the average package of chemicals is 9.5 lakh per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no such instant fee hike since it is NIT so different reserved categories have different percentages of financial assistance. Students also get government scholarships in there category and institutes do help in this. Our Branch has a median package of 9.4 lakh per annum and 50% of students go in the core field and others in Tech or Non-Tech Jobs. Last year our placement percentage was 85 % out of 60 students
Campus Life :
We have multiple events and fest at our college mainly Maffick and Technosearch. We have Central Library with the support of Digital Library. Classrooms are well maintained and we have some classes in Departmental Auditorium. We have all sports at our Sports Complex. Societies like Ae Se Aenak, Robaroo and E-Cell, help students in building their personalities and involve them in extracurricular activities.
