Amity University Gwalior PhD Admission 2023 is ongoing currently. Admission to the Amity University Gwalior PhD program are based on the PhD entrance exam (PET) and the interview conducted by the University. The PET ischedule is going to be released soon. However, Candidates who have cleared an All-India National Level Competitive Examination like NET of UGC / CSIR / ICAR (ASRB) / GPAT / ICMR / GATE / DST - INSPIRE within the last 2 years, shall be exempted from the written test.

Amity University Gwalior Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on the candidate’s performance in the PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test) Examination, conducted by the university, followed by an interview round. Candidates who have cleared an All-India National Level Competitive Examination like NET of UGC / CSIR / ICAR (ASRB) / GPAT / ICMR / GATE / DST - INSPIRE within the last 2 years, shall be exempted from the written test.

Applications for admission to a Ph.D. program at Amity University are carried out twice a year. 

Application Procedure

• Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. program, whether full time or part-time, shall need to possess the requisite percentage of marks/grade point average/subjects/ specializations in qualifying examination as indicated under each Ph.D. program: 
• Candidates who apply for a Ph.D. part-time will need to submit their employment verification details at the time of form filling and NOC as per the format, at the time of joining after their selection to the program. 
• The admission form is to be filled and submitted ONLINE ONLY alongside required documents uploaded within the given format and online payment of INR 1100/- made via a Credit / Debit card. No hard copies are going to be accepted. 
• Eligible candidates will have to take PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test), on the date selected by them. PET will be a computer-based test and after that an Interview on the same day.
• Selected candidates will be notified about their selection on the Admission website. 
• A printable online admission letter will be uploaded on the admission microsite within the two days of candidate selection. This will carry details of payment of fees at the time of admission, date, time, and venue for the start of the academic session, etc. 
• The offer of admission will be provisional & valid just for the specific program opted by the candidate as well as for the same academic session. The offer of admission will automatically stand canceled if the conditions are not fulfilled by the required time.

Amity University Gwalior Ph.D. Course Details

Amity University, Gwalior offers the following courses in Ph.D. program:

• All candidates admitted to Ph.D. programs have to do the course work assigned and shall be required to take a written examination for the same. The minimum Coursework period will be of six months duration. A candidate will earn credits for a Course Unit as long as he obtains a minimum of Grade B+ (Points 07 on a scale of 10). If a candidate fails to urge qualifying Grade B+, he/she is going to tend second opportunity to enhance his/her qualifying Grade to B+, i.e., Point 7 on a ten-point scale failing which his/her registration is accountable to be canceled.
  Scholars shall be required to undertake coursework for a minimum period of 1 semester, not exceeding one year from the date of the provisional registration. 
• Minimum 75% attendance is required. 
• Each candidate, on completion of work, shall be required to undertake a comprehensive examination which can test his/her comprehension or knowledge in his/her broad field of research and his/her academic preparation to carry out the research work. The comprehensive examination shall be a combination of both written and oral examinations and shall be conducted by the faculty members. The candidate is required to secure a minimum of Grade B (Points 06 on a scale of 10) in a comprehensive examination. 
• INR 10,000/- Registration fees and INR 10000/- Security deposit will be taken as admission fees and INR 32000/- per semester for full time and INR 21000/- per semester for part-time.
