Presidency University Kolkata was established in 1817 and is recognised as an Institution of National Eminence by UGC. After functioning as a leading constituent college under Calcutta University for over a hundred years, the institution was established as a university in July 2010. Presidency University is accredited by NAAC with "A" Grade. The university has 17 departments that offers UG, PG and PhD programs in Arts and Science specialisations. Admission to all the courses offered by the Presidency University are based on marks scored in entrance examination or merit in the last qualifying exam.

Presidency University Kolkata Admission
Admission at Presidency University Kolkata is based on entrance exams conducted by WBJEE like PUBDET for UG admission 2024 and PUMDET for PG admission 2024. Ph.D. Entrance Test is conducted within the university level for Doctoral course admission.
