Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
- Basic eligibility for the program is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) Examination from any recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at the Class XII level and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
- Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2019 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
- Students pursuing an International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
- Applicants pursuing the IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
- Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels, grades not less than C
- Lateral Entry:
- Candidates who have successfully completed the 3-year diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply for lateral entry into engineering programs.

Which college should I select for mechanical engineering, Christ University or PES Electronic City campus?
Since I have friends pursuing Mechanical Engineering in both institutes, I can put their opinions in view. Both of them acknowledge the fact that the PES Electronic City campus is quite incomparable to Christ University, in terms of culture, academics, infrastructure, legacy, and factors alike.
- Having said that, Christ University, with regard to the industry exposure and pedagogy, is somewhat not up to the mark when compared to the PES University.
- In addition, the laboratories and faculty of PES University are quite better as opposed to Christ University.
- PES University, as my friend mention, is very strict, academics oriented and competitive. On the other hand, Christ University is much lenient and is not at all competitive.
All things considered, you should only opt for Christ University if you want to pursue Mechanical Engineering. If you can take responsibility for your own studies and can secure a job yourself, Christ University will be good for you.
In contrast, if you want to obtain good industry exposure and want the college to be a guiding force, then PES University will be a better choice.
