Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering) From NIT Goa, South Goa

The candidate should have passed Graduation in relevant stream from a recognized university and also have a valid score in GATE

NIT Goa offers M.Tech program in 3 specializations i.e. Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI and Power Electronics and Power Systems. The institution offers full-time M.Tech program with the duration of 2 years.

Selection Process

Seats in M.Tech program will be granted on the basis of counselling conducted by NIT, on the basis of GATE Score of the year 2018, 2019, 2020.

The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies (IE, ICE, IETE, AeSI, IIChemE, IIM, IIE) and have enrolled on or before May 31, 2014 are also eligible to participate in CCMT-2020 counseling process.

Rules of Seat Allotment

1. Candidates having GATE score in 2018 will be given preference over candidates having score of 2019, or 2020.
2. Candidates having GATE score in 2019 will be given preference over candidates having score of 2020.
3. If year of GATE score is same, then preference will be given to that candidate who has obtained better GATE marks out of 100. 
4. In the unlikely event of their GATE marks out of 100 and the year of GATE score being the same, then preference will be based on the All India Rank (AIR).
5. In highly unlikely event of candidates having same GATE Year, GATE marks out of 100, and AIR, then ‘Date of Birth’ will be considered. 

NIT Goa Application Process:

Interested candidates can apply for CCMT 2020 by online application process within the stipulated time. 

Registration Fee: 

Application Fee can be paid through SBI MOPS using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card or through e-challan at any branch of SBI.

Online seat allotment Process

There shall be three regular rounds (Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3) of seat allotment and a mop-up round called National Spot Round (NSR) in CCMT-2020. Candidates having secured a seat in the CCMT 2020 counselling have the option of exercising one of the following willingness:

1. Floating
2. Sliding
3. Freezing
