Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) or IPU admission process typically begins in the month of March or April. Candidates who wish to apply for admission to any of the programs offered by IPU can apply online on the official website of the university. IPU offers over 50 programs at the UG, PG, and Research levels. Admissions at IPU are based on Common Entrance Test (IPU CET), conducted by the university, or scores obtained in the national-level entrance examinations.
Admission to UG and PG courses will also be done through the common university entrance test (CUET), conducted by NTA. The preference will be given to IPU CET and national-level test scores for respective programs and CUET scores will be given second preference. For admission to BTech, B.Arch, B.Des, BALLB/BBALLB, and Medical courses, candidates are required to appear in the JEE Main, NATA, UCEED, CLAT UG, and NEET examinations, respectively. Check IPU Courses & Fees
For the final selection, a merit list will be based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and the entrance examination conducted by the university. Candidates who meet the cutoff marks are then called for counseling, where they can choose their preferred program and college based on their rank and availability of seats. Among the IPU other colleges including MAIT,MSIT,BVCOE,BPIT are among my 1st choice but in all such colleges i was getting ECE which was not my interest. I just only want to get CSE so that's the primary reason behind opting VIPS. Secondary reason was that the kind of labs, faculties, infrastructure VIPS is having is such great compared to others. Also VIPS is doing very well compared to other colleges in the field of other professional degrees like LLB,BCA,MBA etc. so mine idea was the companies are visiting the college so it may also help me to get right opportunity , henceforth for that I should also require good skiils.
I applied to various other colleges under scert like diets(govt aided) and other private aided and got admission in one of them but got late in physical reporting. So again I have to fill the college choices in counselling round and choose college according to the distance from my house, travel mode which is convenient and easily available. So choose this, and at physical reporting I got admission in it. My rank was 96 (gen-56) in scert exam for admission. Admission process for admission in the college is, first ,you have to give a cbt exam after applying for it on scert website, then there is physical reporting after the declaration of result and you are ready to get in admision based on your marks. And eligibility for this college is you must have cleared 12th class and given the exam conducted by scert.

Other Colleges I Applied To - 1. DTU (Delhi Technological University): Applied but couldn't secure a seat 2. NSIT (Netaji Subhas University of Technology): Also applied but missed out on admissions 3. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT): Got an offer, but it was much far. 4. Amity University: Offered admission, but I didn’t choose it due to high fees Why GGSIPU Over Others? 1. Cost-Effective: GGSIPU's fee structure was far more reasonable compared to private instituitions 2. Reputation: While not on the level of DTU or NSIT, GGSIPU had a decent name in Delhi-NCR, especially in engineering, and this mattered a lot in terms of ROI 3. Proximity: Staying closer to home was also a personal preference Why I Didn't Make It to DTU or NSIT? 1. JEE Mains Rank: Both DTU and NSIT required a higher JEE Mains rank than I could manage. I was close but missed the cutoff due to intense competition. 2. Reservation and Seat Quotas: Being from the general category without any specific state quota, the competition was extremely tough. Admission Process of GGSIPU: 1. Eligibility: Completing 12th grade with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and securing at least 55% in these subjects. 2. Exams Accepted: Exam for admission was IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test). Some courses also considered JEE Mains scores, particularly for B.Tech programs. 3. Cutoffs: The cutoffs varied by branch, with Computer Science and IT being the most competitive, often closing at lower ranks. 4. Overall Admission Experience: It was fairly straightforward. After the CET, you had to participate in a centralized counseling process where seats were allotted based on rank. The entire process was done online
I applied for 2 universities (ggsipu and delhi university). I got my name selected in various colleges of ip university or ggsipu like tecnia, jims rohini, agarsen etc but i chose vips as it was better than others and i personally believe that vips is one of the best ipu college. I also applied in DU in colleges like kirorimal , hansraj , srcc etc. I got 91% in cuet examination but i didn't got any college of north campus in DU so i chose vips as i got 1267 rank in ipucet exam . vips is a bit expensive as compared to the colleges in Du but is better than them infrastructure wise. You have to give Ipucet or cuet to get admission in vips.

I applied to various other colleges under scert like diets(government aided) and other private aided and got admission in one of them but got late in physical reporting. So again I have to fill the college choices in counselling round and choose college according to the distance from my house, travel mode which is convenient and easily available. So choose this, and at physical reporting I got admission in it. My rank was 96 (gen-56) in scert exam for admission. Admission process for admission in the college is, first, you have to give a cb(computer based test) exam after applying for it, then there is physical reporting after the declaration of result and you are ready to get in admision based on your marks.
