M.Phil. (Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology) From Panjab University, Chandigarh

1. Bachelor's Degree obtaining at least 45 per cent marks in the subject of Postgraduate course or 50 per cent marks in aggregate. OR
2. B.A. with (Hons) in the subject of the Postgraduate course or B.Sc. (Hons. School) course. OR
3. Master's Degree in any other subject. OR
4. B.A./B.Sc. with 45% marks in Philosophy/Political Science / Art/ Music / Modern Indian Language / Geography / Mathematics/Sanskrit/ Sociology/ History /Public Administration/Economics / Psychology / Physics / Chemistry/Geology / Zoology/ Botany.
5. 5% concession is admissible in eligibility marks to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates.

The admission will be made strictly in order of merit. For admission to M.A.-Ist semester in case the College/Departments decide to hold Entrance Tests at their own level, the following procedure will be followed besides the rules/Regulations of Panjab University governing eligibility, in a particular subject.

1. Academic Weightage: - 60% (a) 10th class : 10% (b) 10+2 class : 10% (c) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. : 40%
2. Written and Oral/Aptitude Test - 40%
