NIT Rourkela Scholarship

NIT Rourkela encourages its needy and meritorious students by offering various financial aids and scholarship schemes for the students enrolled in any of the programs offered by the institute except M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees (which are externally funded or sponsored). The fee structure is nearly 8 lakh for a whole semester and there is some hike in price over the year, there are many scholarships awarded to students. There is placement in college too and you got the internship.

The fee structure of this course is somewhere between high and low and currently I am not on any financial assistance or job currently although in the 3rd and 4th years, one can sit on campus internships which can provide up to 1.5lacs of stipend monthly.

For B.sc. branches the tuition fee is 14000 per year and along with mess and others it is 88000 per year for B.tech it is 200000 per year and scholarship is based on family income and for below 1 lakh income. Or ST there is no tuition fee.

The fee structure at NITR is almost the same as other NITs for the first year. One has to pay a total of 124k which includes the caution money, hostel rents, tuition fees, etc. For the 2nd -3rd year it remains at 99k each year. For the 4th year, there are convocation fees of 2500 extra. Tuition fees are exempted based on family income and caste for SC/ST/PH income less than 1 lakh has a full tuition fee waiver. For income less than 5 lakh and more than 1 lakh, one has to pay 1/3rd of the tuition fee. More an income of more than 5 lakh one has to pay full fees. There are various scholarship opportunities at NITR like post matric scholarship for SC/ST. Top class scholarship for all students given by TCS and nation talent scholarship, etc.

The fee structure is very good compared to other private colleges and enough scholarships are provided to eligible students Your fee for your whole span course will be told before the admission itself so no worries about fee hikes during the course period and campus opportunities for internships and placements are pretty good. also, fee waivers are provided depending upon eligibility of family income.

1st semester fee is 1,24,000 and next all the next semester fees are 99,000 individually. Scholarships are provided for weaker and reserved sections. Job and stipend will be given to the qualified students.
