Our annual tech fest is INNOVISISON i.e. eastern India's largest tech fest, it is conducted once a year during November. Books are available in abundance in the library. Our classes usually happen at LA( short for Lecture Avenue) ensuring that all the digital facilities are being addressed. The sports facilities are also very good in the college and the club culture is also very good. I am currently a part of Clarion, the debating society, and Monday Morning, the student media body of NIT Rourkela.

Life at NITR campus is good but outside campus, there is not a lot to explore. fest like Nitrutsav, Innovision, cosmopolitan, Vriddhi and roots are held annually. vriddhi is a sports fest. cosmo is a cultural fest. NU is a fest of film and music society and inno is a technical fest. library here at NIT is pretty huge and books from all the fields are there. classrooms have AC and good benches. sports activities are really good here, however administration doesn't support sports activities because it is more of academic-focused administration but if you want to then you can play your game here. there are more than 70 registered cubs in NITR and students have the freedom to start their own club with the approval of administration and SAC officials.
