GIET University Admission 2023: Admission Criteria, Fees, Application Form

GIET offers a Bachelor of Technology under 12 different specializations. All of the courses are of a duration period of four years. The institute also offers a B.Tech degree under lateral entry which is of three years.

For 50% of seats, admission will be done on the basis of JEE Main exam. The candidates has to register on the OJEE website for counselling. The remaining 50% seats are filled on the basis of GIETEE/JEE Mains or other national level entrance exams.

Admission to the lateral B.Tech course is done on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination followed by centralized counseling conducted by the OJEE committee.

GIET University offers various undergraduate programs which are of a duration period of 3-4 years.

At the postgraduate level, the university offers a Master of Technology degree with a duration period of two years. The M.Tech program is provided under 10 different specialization subjects. The intake capacity for each of specialization is 18 seats. Eligibility to the M.Tech program is given to the willing candidates on the basis of the GATE score.

• Non-GATE qualified candidates, having CGPA 6.5 (10 point scale) or 60% marks in B.Tech/BE examination are required to appear for PGAT
• GATE qualified candidates, pass or appearing in MCA examination from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks, eligible only for M. Tech in Computer Science

50% of seats will be filled on the basis of the GATE/Odhisa PGAT score. 50% of seats will be filled on the basis of GIETEE score.

GIET also offers M.Sc, MCA, MA, MSW and PG Diploma programs at the postgraduate level. The candidates who have passed their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Admission to the PG programs is done on the basis of merit.

Admission to the MCA program is done on the basis of GIETEE. 

GIET University provides a degree course in the domain of Business Administration at the postgraduate level, for which the duration period is two years.

Eligibility for admission into the MBA course is +3 degree / any graduation or equivalent. The institute admits students through the All India MBA Entrance Test, CMAT/ CAT / MAT / XAT / OJEE/ GIETEE.

GIET University provides a PhD program under Technical and Non-Technical specializations. The candidates who have passed their Post Graduation degree are eligible to apply for admission.

Admission to the PhD program is done on the basis of valid scores of CSIR/UGC-JRF/GATE/UGC-NET.

For admission to B.Tech courses:

In order to be considered for admission in GIET University, Gunupur, one has to send a State Bank of India A/C payee demand draft for Rs. 500/- in favour of -GIET, Gunupur, towards the cost of prospectus and application form. For admission to M.Sc courses:

One has to send a State Bank of India A/C payee Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- in favour of GIBS, Gunupur, payable at Gunupur (code no. 1090) towards the cost of prospectus and application form.
