Campus Infrastructure Sreyas campus infrastructure is designed to offer a holistic experience for the students. For sports infrastructure, the college provides both outdoor cricket and football fields, basketball and volleyball courts, and an indoor table tennis room along with a badminton court. Most of the equipment needed for these sports are also available through the college. The auditorium is spacious and holds routine events, guest lectures, and cultural programs. The library is well-stocked with all kinds of books-literary, general knowledge, and other subjects. The students can use it from early in the morning till late evening, thus making adequate time available for studies. A copy of most crucial textbooks can be procured without much hassle, and the library also avails third-party databases for research work and projects, thereby adding to the learning prowess of the students. This college campus spreads over considerable ground. It offers a green and open environment to the students. Since there are no hostel facilities available, the students have to make their own arrangement for staying nearby. Many students commute from their rented houses to the academic block and mostly it is through public transport, bicycles, or carpooling. The campus allows personal vehicles on campus, which gives flexibility to the students in commuting. While relatives are encouraged to visit campus, overnight accommodation arrangements are not made, thus guests may have to seek alternative lodging arrangements in the campus vicinity. In addition to this central canteen, with various food options, there are several other food joints and cafes spread throughout campus, offering students various dining options. The college has a medical center which, being very well equipped, is capable of dealing with any form of basic health concern or emergency. It is well staffed by qualified doctors and nurses, so that proper care is given to each student. While the medical center may be enough to take care of the everyday needs of the students, some of them may require off-campus treatment for serious health matters.Campus life at Sreyas is quite vibrant in providing the student with a well-rounded experience beyond academics. As soon as classes are over, most students are found engaged in some activity; this could be group study, clubs meeting, or just hanging around with their friends in some corner or the canteen. The locality around the college is pretty safe for students as well even in night hours. Most of the students would feel relaxed enough to explore around the places, but again wise to be in a group and conscious of the surroundings. Sreyas hosts several major fests and cultural events throughout the academic year when the campus gets vibrant and lively. The students play a very important role in the annual cultural fest, tech fests, and sports meets. In the recent years, the presence of several very renowned celebrities including great musicians, orators have blessed these events and has made it utterly thrilling. The college has clubs and committees of various types: cultural clubs, technical societies, sports teams, etc. As a member of the cultural committee, an event is organized and conducted in collaboration with activities for the growth and development of the community at the student level. Among the range of clubs available, the important ones that add value to students' personalities are the technical club, which gives students hands-on experience and sharpens technical skills.
Placements at Sreyas usually start in the final semester; this covers January till April or May, depending on the participating companies and their recruitment schedules. The process gets formally closed once all the companies get completed with their recruitment rounds. Closing off the process takes an enormous amount of time owing to the fact that it takes such a long time for the companies to finalize their decisions. Though a vast majority of students do get placements, not everyone is placed. On an average, 50-65% of students get jobs through the college placement drive. The balance students who do not get a job are sometimes left high and dry. The college usually repeats the placement drives for such students, conducts some workshops or resume preparation sessions, and pushes them to apply independently also. Compensation-wise, the average CTC of graduated offers would be around 6-8 LPA, though the highest offers are all around 15-20 LPA. Even some students receive lower packages, mostly those positions offered in small companies or startups that see CTCs at times going as low as 4 LPA. These are the preferred companies by the Computer Science graduates at Sreyas: Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as TCS and Infosys, mainly because of their reputation, career growth, and quality work experience offered. The average CTCs for these companies are between 8-12 LPA, hence they become very popular. Apart from these premier firms, there are many companies, mainly IT and consultancy-based organizations, which recruit in bulk during the placement drives. Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture, among others, are common recruiters for such organizations and usually offer 5-7 LPA with average CTCs. The placement committee works extensively to build a connection between students and potential employers and does all the background work for the entire placement process. They organize campus recruitment, assist in conducting interviews, and guide students in resume preparation as well as interview skills. According to them, the process is highly transparent, although they have some issues related to the selection criteria of the companies and their communication regarding placement statistics. Thus, effective and transparent placement may vary from person to person with respective experiences and expectations.(BLANK PICTURE UPLOADED)
The sports complex is so small which just have a net of basketball , a teacher cabin , two rooms , two changing rooms and washrooms . They provide juice and and a fruit per day during practice to those who participates in sports games from college . There are gatka , taekwondo and other equipment's . No gym and swimming pool in college . The auditorium is so spacious and fully air conditioning , there we can have department fest , farewell , fresher's etc . There are many speakers and comfortable seats . The library is also quite spacious . It has AC , it is very clean also . The timings are 9am to 4pm . All the books are accessible , we have a access to a website from where we can download the research paper for our help . The campus is big includes two block buildings , a separate auditorium , sports complex and a gurdwara also . Most of the students travel by metro , some opted for DTC buses . No personal vehicles are allowed in college premises . Not allowed . There is cafeteria where we can have fast food , snacks, south indian food , ice cream counter also . There is a medical room where I have never visited but I heard that it have a teacher / doctor ( I don't know) who gives medicine only . I don't think they provide such a good treatment for minor emergencies . The college is well . After class we refresh our minds by chit chat or listening music or just scrolling phones . After that we back to the class No late-night canteen is not opened it closes before the college is closed . They go 3-4 times a week they usually go at Patel chest for some fast food, coffee ,Juice etc. It would be better to don't talk about the " safe " zone for the girls . We all are aware that what's happening in our nation . There were snatching of phones happened two to three times one day but after complaint it was stopped. But yeah there is pink booth out of the college . The main fest of the college is SAARANG . They have recently invited the famous punjabi singer Gurnam Bullar . The other fest are the departmental fest of every department . They have nice arrangements for the fest and really vibe full . There are many committees like cybercell, women development cell, placement cell etc . The important society for CV is placement cell , NCC , Women Development Cell . No , they don't provide such facilities.
The course followed by the college is with regards with the university . The course and exams are of moderate difficulty . although the students fail but with a bit of preparation it is not that difficult to pass the exams . The good aspect of the course is that you get to studey different subjects but the bad aspect is that you are forced to take a language subject for two years in your optional . Each year there are two semester end exams but almost for 2 to 3 months every semester there are internals assignment and continuous assessment which takes place whose date is not fixed . So fo almost 7 subjects you have to give around 5 to 6 tests +assignments apart from the semester end exams . Ever day around 1 to 5 classes takes place . The timetable is very messed up as you might have a class at 8 30 in the morning then another at 2 in the evening . Other day you will have classes straight from morning to evening . So it leaves very less free time as there are 7 subjects so it is very difficult to maintain a daily schedule . The faculty is decent not so great not so bad . Few are great who actually care for students and do not burden them with useless assignments and there are also those who do not care and will make a student cry with so many assignments and difficult tests . Also the strict attendance policy is the only reason why many students go to college . Although ours is not as strict as other who detain and refrain students from partaking in exams . If you have less than 67% attendance you will have to sign an undertaking that's it .
The college campus has a tennis court and a basketball court . Other than these games the college has a volleyball , handball and several other sports team . The players practice in the morning before the classes or in the evening . The college have an outdoor gym and the indoor gym is not big enough to accomodate students so no one really uses it . The campus does not have a swimming pool . The auditorium and library are big and spacious . BOoks are accessible but few books for upsc preparation cannot be issued . There are also e resources for all the students . The hostel is in the college campus itself . Apart from the main college canteen there is a millets canteen a nescafe and a oam cafe all of which are very affordable and good . The college have a medical practioner as well as a councillor. The overall campus life is very vibrant and going . There are several cafe places around the campus and as the college is in delhi people go to so many places and experience different cultures . The night life is also quite happening as the university organises several fests and events in the campus and othere concerts also takes place in delhi . The safety is not to the fullest in the camous as women get attacked several times . EVery college in the university have their fest so there are so many things to enjoy from . Last year in our college nikita gandhi performed . There are several societies and clubs in the college . There are so many fields to choose from that you will get wht your interests are . there are also international students in the college and they also have their own separate hostel .
The fees is very affordable compared to other colleges as it is a government college . The fees is to be paid for a year altogether . The fees is less than 15k for my course . Other than that you are also required to pay an examination fee every semester while filling the examination form which is around 1200 to 1400 depending on your subjects . SO overall if you are pursuing ba from this college then you will have to pay around 50k for 3 years for official purposes . And for residence most of the students resides in pgs in the campus area . They come in all ranges .and for hostel there is a different fee for odd and even semester although last year we have seen a 6k hike in hostel fees . I am not aware about much regarding the hostel as i don't stay there . Financial aid is providd to students with low income group . Several scholarships are provided to university students of low income group and apart from hostels in college there is a girls university hostel as well with very less fee.
The very important thing is: CUET scores! Taking admission into college doesn't require any interview or GD, but college societies do follow a rigourous process like this. 1. My batch size is of 230 students with around 58 students sitting in each class. Now talking about the specialisation strength, marketing is around 90, finance is around 100 and the rest are HR, Operations and Analytics. 2. Girls to boys ratio is fine only, there is no one of more its balanced only. 3.Our batch and class is very diverse, the students are from every state and i got to know that the whole batch of 230 students are from 25 of the states and majorly the students are from north only. 4. Yes there is kind if peer learning as well as you get to know different perspectives of people from different places and your perspective gets broaden so yes there is peer learning. 5.
