Remarks

I applied to IPM of Indore, Rohtak, Ip university, Dtu for bba and du I got selected for eco hons at ipu and dtu bba at first, while I didn't get any seat till then in du rounds , I went to dtu bba till 2 weeks and the experience was good but then I got selected in CVS is spot round 2 in du, although this new college was far from my home the name of du made the difference and the course BMS is also sought after which made me submit withdrawal in dtu, in preferences I wrote Srcc and Shaheed Sukhdev, Sri Guru Gobind Singh above in preference list and this course must be at 15 th place To get admission in this college you have to give cuet exam and register your score in csas portal of du , to get into BMS , you have to give exams of english, maths, general test.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

- total students are 75 but 5 of the students left the college in 1st sem. So total 70 students are there. I am having specialisation in finance in which we have around 40 students -girls to boys ratio is 1:6 in our course and for whole college it's around 4:6 - cultural diversity of our college is one of the famous topics in DU becoz students are there from so many states like Punjab, UP, MP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh. - students are very accommodating, peer group studying in our course is very much visible becoz of the practical subjects which need student to student perspective. -no we dont have as such assesment, but at the time of classes, faculty look for better participation.

Internships Opportunities

3

No, our college didn't receive an 100% placement, around 60% of the students got an internship offer Most of the students got an paid Internships Stipend ranged from unpaid to 20000 rs pm Average stipend was around 5000 rs pm Mostly startups come to our college to recruit for internships, companies like Zomato, Bajaj capital are the most sought after Internship scenario is worse than other colleges in comparison

Placement Experience

3

Final placements start around January or Feb, while in our last semester. The process is long and goes on till May. In the recent round more than 600 offers were made from companies. Not everyone gets placed around 40% students sit for placements and 70% of them gets placed. The college doesn't do anything extra to get them placed as max no. Of students go for MBA by giving cat exam Average ctc - 4.8 Lpa Highest ctc - 21.5 LPA Most preferred companies are Deloitte, EY, Bajaj Capital as they give good salary The placement comitee helps by telling them about other jobs. Overall students with better grades are given good offers

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees - 15000 Tuition fees - 13000 Development fees - 2000 I paid 15000 in first year and paid 13000 for the second year, the same can be expected in third year. The fees is lower than most colleges as this is a non AC college and Sukhdev charges around 50000 for the same course. The another major expense is travel and canteen expenses Fees varies for quota students , though I am not aware by how much. College doesn't provide scholarships.

Campus Life

4

- sports facilities are good, we have our own cricket and football team, and it plays on very high level, only outdoor facilities are available. - no the college doesn't have any kind of gym. -no the college doesn't have any kind of swimming pool -we don't have auditorium, we have a seminar hall and Library if very good, it has most of the books related to the courses available in the college. -college campus is of average size, it can't be said big becoz we have 3 building with 2 floors each. - we have don't have other food joints in college, only canteen food is available.Overall campus life is good - our college is open till 530 only, so the campus is not for night. - our college is in saket near malviya nagar, so we have two major malls near our college, so hangout is very often. Also we have hauz khas near our area, which is a major spot for hangout. - the locality is very safe because it lies in one of the porche area, saket. -we have our annual fest named TATVA which is very famous in DU,and during Diwali, we have Diwali mela. During fest, our alumni , Manish Paul came in back years, during our tenure, we have dj and a coke studio singer. -there are many societies and clubs like management society, commerce society, vocational society, environment society etc. I don't have any society joined becoz I have to travel a lot and leave the college on time.

Hostel Facilities

4

We don't have any kind of hostels. In DU, mostly north campus colleges have hostels. Near our college, we have PG facility. I am a day scholar, so I don't know much about it but my friends are in PG which told me that most of pg don't have seperate for boys and girls Pgs are available at around 6000 to 18000 And the fees depends on facility like food, area etc. Pg don't have any kind of canteen, most students either include food or go for outside food facilities. There are basically two types of pg- flat or pg In a flat, one can stay individually or a another member, in pg, most are 3 people sharing PG. Facilities are available but if you have to use AC , they have to pay there own electricity bill. And other facilities are very well available. Washrooms are common on a floor, but they are kept clean because around 30 students live on a single floor.

Exam Structure

First you have to give cuet exam and and after getting the score , register in du csas portal where you can apply to all colleges of du from one place. The. Various lists are taken out based on your score and seats availability After getting seat in rounds , you can simply go to the college to attend the classes after verification and paying of fees. The classes usually starts around first week of september The cuet exam is most preferred by students as it gets entry to du colleges , a safe score in my course will be 520/650 There is no other way to get admission

Faculty

4

The course is not difficult and students do fail exams due lack of studies. The good aspect of my course is the fact that you can read and pass and the bad aspect is the calculation of financial modelling. There are 3exams in a semester and 6 in a year Maximum I have 4 classes in a day and we do have tea break which is 11:00 to 11:25. The faculties teach through PPT This semester I admire my mercantile Law teacher because she teach so well and calm as well. I love all my teachers Each student should have 75% attendance if not, you can't sit to the final exam. I have seen people been detained and penalized due to low attendance

Placement Experience:

After the completion of final semester exams the final placement starts. It takes around a month for placement to officially get over. Around 10-15% students get final placement and the others don't. The college provides placement opportunity for many many years to ex students as well. The average ctc is around 3-4Lpa, the hightest is around 12Lpa and the lowest can go to 1-1.5 Lpa. Amazon, delloite etc are the most proffered ones don't know about their avg ctc. The placement committee has a strong role in guiding students and giving them opportunity in the placement drive of the college, it also provides many mock interview practices and expert counselling to know more about placements and yes the process is 100% transparent.

1. Placement Timeline: Final placements typically start in late January or early February and continue until the end of March. The process usually takes about two to three months to complete. 2. Placement Success Rate: While most students do get placed, about 10-15% may remain unplaced during final placements. To assist those unplaced, the college offers additional workshops, personalized mentoring, and access to companies that may not participate in the main placement drive. 3. CTC Offered: Average CTC: Approximately ₹6-8 LPA. Highest CTC: Can reach up to ₹20 LPA, especially from leading consulting and tech firms. Lowest CTC: Some students may accept offers around ₹3-4 LPA, particularly in smaller companies or startups. 4. Preferred Companies: Most preferred companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and various consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture. The average CTC from these companies typically ranges from ₹6-10 LPA. 5. Bulk Hiring Companies: Companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro are known for bulk hiring. These companies generally offer average CTCs of around ₹6-8 LPA. 6. Role of the Placement Committee: The placement committee is responsible for coordinating the placement process, inviting companies, conducting mock interviews, and providing guidance to students. While the process is generally transparent, some students feel that it could be improved, particularly regarding information sharing about job roles and company profiles. Overall, transparency is moderate but could benefit from clearer communication.
