IIT JAMMU: An emerging institute for Indian welfare

Remarks :

I applied for JEE mains and advanced. After clearing exams. I applied for a JOSAA counseling session. I was praying to get into IIT. At last, I chose IIT JAMMU in accordance with my preferences. I didn't get reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is fairly nice and faculty members also interactive and good at teaching. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:40. Most of our faculty members are Ph.D. scholars and quite experienced. Exams were at appropriate times and the calculus exam was quite tough rest of them were easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are open, especially in the core. In chemical engineering, an internship in the core branch is compulsory and we can get it easily. The highest internship package offered was 2 lacs last year. Projects are provided according to student interest in the field.

Placement Experience :

One is eligible in the 7th semester for campus placements. Many companies visit our college for placements mainly tech companies. The highest package was 52 lacs last year and the average package was 15 lacs. About 97% of students were placed last year. I wanna pursue for higher degree after B.Tech completion.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are similar to other government engineering colleges. The tuition fee is 2lac per year in addition to the mess fee i.e. 50k per year. The Cost of study is affordable with a good college facility and nice placement. Scholarship opportunities are there for students good in academics and for those who are financially weak.

Campus Life :

The campus is quite small, beautiful, and pollution-free. Life on campus is good, I'm enjoying my life. These four years would be one of the best parts of my life with unforgettable memories. The sports facilities are well and good. Students good at sports have the opportunity to take part in national tournaments.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is clean and the living is good here. Meal quality is nice and there are two menus followed at alternative weeks. Hostel registration is done after reaching college only. Rooms have double occupancy. Hostels are compulsory for safety purposes.

In this course, there were too many scopes, this was the reason behind my choosing this course. There are 1 faculty over 10 students. All faculty are Doctoral from 1st Gen IITs. exams were timely and quite difficult to score.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because from starting my interest has been in electronic instruments. The faculty is quite good. The faculty is well qualified. In one year 2 semester is taken and in one semester 2 class test and one end sem. And one sem. The exam is taken in college. Calculus is mostly difficult to get good marks in exams.
