Eligibility: The eligibility criteria typically require the candidate to have completed 10+2 schooling with PCM as a compulsory subject and a total of 75% marks for General, EWS, and OBCs and 65% for SC, ST, and PWD. Application process: The information regarding the application date and exam date of JEE Main is provided by NTA on its official website nta.ac.in.According to the previous year, the JEE Mains exam is usually conducted in January and April and the JEE Advanced is conducted in June. Cut-offs: The cutoff scores for admission can vary from year to year and depend on the number of seats available and the performance of candidates in the exams. Reservation: IITs typically follow reservation policy for various categories including 10% for EWS, 27% for OBC,15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 20% for Girls in their respective categories.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Mathematics and Computing as it offers an excellent career perspective and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies. It can lead to various career paths in fields such as software development, data science, artificial intelligence, and more. The faculty-to-teacher ratio in Jammu is 1:11. Faculties are highly qualified with strong academic backgrounds and research experience and their teaching methods are quite interactive. The term exams are typically conducted on a regular schedule. IITs are known for their rigorous academic structures but if you are dedicated, manage your time efficiently, and seek help from friends and resources then it is easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
Colleges collaborate with different companies to provide internships to students in different domains. Companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Samsung, Paytm, Amazon, Accenture, etc provide internships for the role of SDE, Data analyst, consultant, etc. The stipend varies from 20,000 to 1,50,000, it depends on the types and location of companies. Internship helps us to know the industry's deeper and how it works internally. Working with professionals and industry-oriented projects gives us a true experience.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. As it is IIT so many big MNCs come here and recruit. 85% of the students got placed with the highest 53 lakhs, average package of 17.6 lakhs. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Intel, Paytm, etc. I am planning for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fee is Rs.1,00,000 which is common across all IITs, all miscellaneous charges are approximately Rs.50,000, mess charges is 22,000 and all the fee component other than tuition fee increases at the rate of 7%. Here scholarship and financial assistance are provided on three basis 1st is based on caste(i.e., SC, ST, OBC, EWS), 2nd on parental income, and 3rd on merit.
Campus Life :
The annual fest is Renao, the Tech fest is Technectus and the Sports fest is Pravaah. The college has one central library from which you can issue books and journals. The classroom is equipped with the latest technology including a smart board, projectors, and speakers and the college also has studios for conducting online classes. Colleges have facilities for almost all types of sports with their respective coaches. The college has many social, cultural, and technical clubs which are run and managed by students.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are equipped with a table, chair, bed, almirah, and a cupboard. Meals provided by the mess are tasty and hygienic but you will become bored by eating the same meal regularly. Registration for a hostel is done during admission and it is quite affordable. Students here are not allowed to live outside the campus.
