The bitter truth

Remarks :

Admission was on the basis of 12th percentage since ours was the COVID batch above 70% in boards was sufficient for cse. application form can be found on the university website . Overall the admission process was easy and quick but a more transparent process would have been better.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Cse is trending and most jobs are in this sector, faculty-student ratio is fine, faculty members are highly qualified however most of the good members are leaving the college termly exams are easy to pass there are 3 exams t1, t2 and t3 of 15, 25 and 35 marks.

Internships Opportunities :

Zycus, Genpact, etc all of them offered internship+ placement to the students but the percentage of students who got placed from our campus was very low since placement is completely centralized meaning all students from juet and jiit compete against each other.

Placement Experience :

7th semester onwards students are eligible, tech Mahindra, zycus, Accenture, and Genpact, are some of the few companies that visited our campus, very few people are getting placed this year my plans are no different than others which is get placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee hikes are very prominent they keep on increasing the hostel and tuition fees without any change in the facility provided. Campus placements are fine I would say very good but if you are prepared enough and work hard it won't be a tough task.

Campus Life :

The library is open till 12 at night, classrooms are fine, there are two canteens, and social is not very top-notch since the college is amidst the mountains so there isn't much to do there are three main fests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in computer programming so I chose this course in this college instead of other NITs. Here the faculty-student ratio id pretty good It's approximately 15:1. All the Faculty are PHD holders. They are young and have a passion for teaching. There are 2 CT exams which constitute the mid sem and one end sem also occurs. You have to study daily. There is regular assignment and projects given to students

Students get eligible for placements in 3rd year itself. The companies visited are Amazon, fantaclaus, etc. The highest package last year was 50 lakhs (off campus) by Amazon and the mean package was 6.5 lpa. 289 students have been placed in the last 5 years which makes 86%. My plan after getting the degree is to obviously get placed in a good company with a good package.

There is an internship semester in our college dedicated to internships where students have to do 5 months of internship (compulsory) to get their hands on on fieldwork and learn from industry experts. Amazon, Deloitte and many big companies like these visit our college during the placement drive The average package of all the branches combined was 15 LPA which is quite good and is expected to improve further in the coming years. Almost 90+ per cent of students get placed.
