Remarks :
To get admission into an IIT, one has to take JEE Mains first as a qualifying exam followed by JEE Advanced. Admission is on the basis of the rank secured by the candidate in JEE Advanced. Application form is available on the JOSAA website around 2 months prior to the exam. In the admission process, people who belong to caste-based categories are allotted an additional rank in their category pool along with the CRL rank. So they can avail the benefits. Moreover, there are female supernumerary seats which are really advantageous for girls.
