Remarks :

I did Jee Mains first. In the first round, I got 98.5 percentile and in the second round, I got 99 percentile. Then I started to prepare for jee advance. There I got a 6589 rank in the Gen - Non-EWS category. NO type of reservation benefits. I just wish that the reservation system would be removed forever. I appeared for Jee Mains in my 12th standard hence I am not dropa per.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have an interest in electrical engineering, so I chose it. The college was chosen on the Rank I got. Most of the faculty is good except for a few profs. but one you get is totally on your luck :). faculty is highly qualified, and most of them have studied abroad in Germany, the UK, etc. although most of the faculty is Bengali. So it's kudos to Bengali people. Although everything taught is in English only do dont worry in those regards.

Internships Opportunities :

On-campus company internship opportunities are there during the start of the third year. Depending on the profile of the job tasks would be given like for SDE role coding rounds are there. For core companies tests would be conducted etc.

Placement Experience :

The placements are really good. almost everyone gets placed. I would say that branch matters. it just makes the process easier. There are companies covering a variety of profiles. just get to know what interests you and go for it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If the family income is less than 8 lakhs there are ample scholarships for you to avail. Also getting educational loans is super easy. On-campus interns are a bit tuff to get. if you target high-paying interns. but placements are easy to get. almost everyone gets a good package and if you are from the circuital branch. it's the cherry on top.

Campus Life :

There are really good clubs at iit (ism). you get to learn and enjoy a lot. In particular, the tech club named 'CYBERLABS' is pretty famous, we have won several international medals. also, they teach AI/ml and cybersecurity which is not taught in many colleges in India. the level is high but you get to learn a lot.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are good. First year you may have to struggle. you may find difficulty adjusting but from the second year, it's chill. Food is good, also there are grand dinners, etc. which keep you engaged, no problem with water supply, shower geysers, etc. everything is there.

Interview Experience :

I did have a talk with the seniors and alumni of our branch. for the admission obv, I gave jee advance . Also, there are various platforms that do guide regarding it. Also on the site info is available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose computer science engineering because I always had an interest in it. The faculty-student ratio is quite good here. It is approximately 1:14. All the teachers here are PhD graduates and the teaching method is quite good too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical engineering being a circuital branch has a wide range of possibilities ahead. It can also be considered as evergreen branch whose demand is atleast not going to end soon. Faculty here are PhD professionals but some might not like the teaching methodologies as it is quite different from the regular schooling/coaching methodologies. Term exams are strictly followed and on basis of regular intervals to check learning process. It is pretty easy to pass the exams if someone only pays attention in class or refer to notes by professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty are here so much more friendly. Some of them try to act like a professor but they are not. Some of the professors are very good and even they take the time to solve our doubts in their cabin. They support students in every aspect. They are good in every aspect. We have two teachers for physics and one for CSE.
